Getting Here
Kitimat and Kitamaat Village are easily accessible by air, rail, road, and water. Both are situated a short 60-km. distance down the Kitimat valley south of Terrace within the Coastal Mountain Range and on the shores of Douglas Channel and the Pacific Ocean.
Enjoy the scenic beauty of your travel to us. By vehicle west from Prince George or east from Prince Rupert and the BC Ferries, Kitimat is accessible year round by highway. During the summer, visit via private water craft, and view the spectacular fjord vistas, aquatic life and wildlife, taking the day to come north up the Channel. Or make the travel in record time by arriving by air at the Northwest Regional Airport near Terrace.
From Kitimat, continue on to Kitamaat Village along the road that follows the coastline of Minette Bay on the Channel with views of the Kitimat River estuary.
