Outdoor Activities
Currently Kitimat boasts 11 modern play structures located in neighborhood parks that are all easily accessible.
The City of Kitimat operates six ball diamonds and one soccer field. A further five soccer fields are maintained at the Bill Rich Soccer Fields by Kitimat Youth Soccer Association.
For the tennis enthusiast there are a total of four courts.
Kitimat’s Skate Boarding Park, partially designed and built by youth in the community is located at Nechako Center and is ideal for beginners through to the seasoned boarder. The Skate Park is open year round weather permitting and is great way to be active, outdoors.

Hirsch Creek Golf & Winter Club
Golf
Surrounded by some of the most stunning mountain scenery in the province, the Hirsch Creek Golf and Winter Club is an extremely challenging semi-private, 18-hole, par 71, golf course and a curling rink that is highly rated.
Curling
The four sheets of curling ice are rated among the best in the north and since the amalgamation of the golf and curling groups.
While reservations are recommended, it is often possible to play at Hirsch Creek weekdays with only a short wait.

Kitimat Rod & Gun Club
The Rod and Gun Club is locally operated by volunteers and is capable of hosting rifle and bow shooters. -
Northern Escape Heli-Skiing
Northern Escape Heli-Skiing describes the experience it provides as the way heli-skiing and boarding are meant to be! And they certainly do offer a wonderful service with private and semi-private parties skiing vast terrain. You are often the first ever to ski unnamed runs, so name as you go!
